Ethyl lecanorate is a main secondary metabolite of Claviceps purpurea. Ethyl lecanorate shows neurotoxic effect with an IC50 of 54 µM on CCF-STTG1 cells. Ethyl lecanorate can be used for neurological disease research[1].
