Procyanidin B2-3'-O-gallate
Procyanidin B2-3'-O-gallate is a mono-gallate ester that can be isolated from grape seed extract. Procyanidin B2-3'-O-gallate has anti-cancer efficacy and reduces the viability of prostate carcinoma LNCaP cells. Furthermore, Procyanidin B2-3'-O-gallate induces apoptosis, and causes caspases-9 and -3 and PARP cleavage, and down-regulates Bcl-2, Bcl-Xl and androgen receptor levels[1].
