Glyco-3ß,5α,6ß -trihydroxycholanoic acid (NPCBA2) is a bile acid which accumulates preferentially in Niemann-Pick C (NPC) patients. Glyco-3ß,5α,6ß -trihydroxycholanoic acid is a biomarker for the early diagnosis of Niemann-Pick C disease[1].
