12-NBD Stearate
12-NBD Stearate is a fluorescent fatty acid analogue. 12-NBD Stearate binds to fatty acid binding protein (FABP) and sterol carrier protein-2 (SCP-2) . Overexpressing sterol carrier protein-2 (SCP-2) 15-kDa isoform enhances 12-NBD Stearate transport. 12-NBD Stearate is a tool for microscopic long chain fatty acids (LCFA) uptake and internalization studies[1][2][3].
