Ravenelin is a xanthone that can be isolated from the endophytic fungus Exserohilum rostratum. Ravenelin exhibits antiprotozoal and antibacterial activity. Ravenelin is active against gram-positive bacterial strains. Ravenelin can be studied for hit-to-lead development, especially for Chagas Disease[1].
