Smyrindiol is a compound found in Dorstenia turbinate. Smyrindiol exerts anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial activities by inhibiting the secretion of tumor-associated proteases (MMP-2) . Smyrindiol can be used in the study of brain tumors such as glioblastoma[1].
