Perezone
Perezone is a sesquiterpenoid benzoquinone found in the roots of Acourtia species. Perezone inhibits the activity of leukemia cell line K-562 and human glioma cell line U-251 (IC50: 6.83 μM) . Perezone increases the expression of caspase 3, 8, and 9 genes associated with apoptosis. Perezone has antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activities[1][2][3][4][5].
