Piptamine has broad antibacterial spectrum, it inhibits Staphylococcus aureus, enterococcus faecalis, Bacillus subtilis, Escherichia coli, Candida albicans with MICs (μg/mL) of 0.78-6.25, 1.56, 1.00, 12.5, 6.25, respectively[1].
