Deoxyfrenolicin is a quinone antibiotic that can be isolated from the fermentation broth of the Streptomyces roseofulvus strain AM-3867. Deoxyfrenolicin belongs to the frenolicin class of antibiotics. Deoxyfrenolicin exhibits antibacterial activity in vitro and can effectively inhibit the activity of Mycoplasma gallisepticum[1].
