Cembrene A (compound 5) is a α-glucosidase inhibitor isolated from the soft coral S. crassa (IC50 = 30.31 μM) . Cembrene A exhibits low cytotoxicity towards human normal hepatocyte (LO2) cells (IC50 > 100 μM) . Cembrene A can be used for diabetes research[1].
