Paromomycin
Paromomycin (Aminosidine) is a broad-spectrum antibiotic. Paromomycin can be used for the study of acute and chronic intestinal protozoal infections, but is not effective for extraintestinal protozoal infections. Paromomycin is also used as a therapeutic against visceral leishmaniasis. Paromomycin has antibacterial, antiprotozoal, anthelminthic and antiparasitic effects[1].
