(R) -Doxazosin
(R) -Doxazosin ((R) -UK 33274) is an isomer of Doxazosin, a selective and orally active a1-adrenoceptor agonist. Doxazosin can be used for systemic antihypertensive and ocular hypotensive. Doxazosin exerts its antihypertensive effect by reducing total peripheral resistance by selective postsynaptic a1-blockade, without reducing cardiac output. Doxazosin can significantly lower both standing and supine blood pressure[1].
