Deacetylmoxisylyte is an orally active metabolite in plasma of the prodrug Moxisylyte. Deacetylmoxisylyte exhibits similar affinity and selectivity for rabbit corpus cavernosum and urethra. Deacetylmoxisylyte has IC50 values of 400 and 1200 nM for alpha-1 and alpha-2 adrenoceptors[1].
