5-HT2C agonist-11 (Compound 1) is an orally active, brain-penetrant and selective 5-HT2C receptor agonist (EC50=15 nM) . 5-HT2C agonist-11 activates the Gq protein signaling pathway, promoting intracellular calcium release. 5-HT2C agonist-11 is promising for research of depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and neuropathic pain[1].
