Carbonic anhydrase activator 1 (Compound 17) is an orally active and a BBB-penetrable Carbonic anhydrase (CA) activator with KAs of 7.8, 3.9 and 2.1 μM for hCA I, hCA VA and hCA VII. Carbonic anhydrase activator 1 can be used for cancers, glaucoma, cardiovascular diseases and neurodegenerative disorders like epilepsy research[1].
