CHIKV nsP2 protease-IN-3 (Compound 5) is an irreversible covalent inhibitor targeting the nonstructural protein 2 (nsP2) cysteine protease of chikungunya virus (CHIKV) (IC50=0.5 μM) . CHIKV nsP2 protease-IN-3 inhibits viral RNA replication. CHIKV nsP2 protease-IN-3 is promising for research of alphaviruses[1].
