DBCO-PEG-Maleimide (MW 400) (DBCO-PEG-Mal (MW 400) ) is a PEG derivative composed of DBCO, PEG units and Maleimide. Maleimide forms a stable thioether bond with sulfhydryl (-SH) groups. DBCO-PEG-Maleimide (MW 400) contains a DBCO group and can undergo strain-promoted alkyne-azide cycloaddition (SPAAC) with molecules containing an azide group[1].
