Cholesteryl-PEG1000-Azide is a lipid that can be used for drug delivery. Cholesteryl-PEG1000-Azide is attached to the cholesterol backbone with a PEG unit on one side and an azide unit on the other side of the PEG. Cholesteryl-PEG1000-Azide contains an azide group that can undergo copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition reaction (CuAAc) with molecules containing an alkyne group[1].
