Carbonic anhydrase inhibitor 32
Carbonic anhydrase inhibitor 32 (compound 5B) is an orally active and selective hCA (Carbonic anhydrase) II/VII inhibitor with the Ki values of 6.3 nM, 10.1 nM and 681 nM for hCA II, hCA VII and hCA I, respectively. Carbonic anhydrase inhibitor 32 shows neuroprotective and anticonvulsant potential by reducing mTOR activation, and raising hippocampus KCC2 levels[1].
