CIM-834
CIM-834 is an orally active and selective inhibitor targeting the coronavirus membrane protein (M protein), which potently blocks viral assembly against SARS-CoV-2 and SARS-CoV. CIM-834 binds to the short form of the M protein (Mshort) in a non-covalent manner, stabilizing Mshort and preventing its conformational switch to the long form (Mlong) required for virion assembly, thereby inhibiting viral particle formation. CIM-834 is promising for research of COVID-19 and other coronavirus infections[1].
