Plazomicin (sulfate)
Plazomicin (ACHN 490) sulfate is a potent aminoglycoside antibiotic in the fight against antimicrobial resistance. Plazomicin sulfate is against several multi-drug-resistant organisms, including carbapenem-resistant Enterobacteriaceae. Plazomicin sulfate has the potential to be used for multi-drug-resistant complicated urinary tract infections (cUTIs) or in combination for serious carbapenem-resistant Enterobacteriaceae infections[1].
