(-) -9-Hydroxycorynantheidine (9-O-Desmethyl mitragynine), the 9-demethyl analogue of Mitragynine, is a selective and partial agonist of μ-opioid receptor. (-) -9-Hydroxycorynantheidine inhibits electrically stimulated twitch contraction in guinea-pig ileum[1].
