NHS-activated 2-octynoic acid-BSA
NHS-activated 2-octynoic acid-BSA is an immunogen used to establish a murine model of primary biliary cholangitis (PBC) . NHS-activated 2-octynoic acid-BSA works in conjunction with Complete Freund's Adjuvant (HY-153808) to stimulate the body's immune system, causing the immune system to recognize it as a foreign antigen and trigger an immune response against autologous biliary epithelial cells. This leads to the production of anti-PDC-E2 antibodies, resulting in bile duct damage and inflammation. NHS-activated 2-octynoic acid-BSA is promising for research of primary biliary cholangitis[1][2].
