MPEG-amine (MW 40000) (mPEG-NH2 (MW 40000) ) is a monofunctional polyPEG with a terminal amine. The coupling between NHS ester and amine produces a stable amide bond. The amine moieties is also reactive with carboxyl in the presence of activating agent[1].
