Butyrylhydroxamic acid (N-Hydroxybutanamide) is a potent inhibitor of histone deacetylase (HDAC) . Butyrylhydroxamic acid enhances memory in behavioral models of rodents and can be used as memory enhancers, mood stabilizers, and β-chain hemoglobin disease studies[1].
