Medrogestone is a new orally active Progestin. Medrogestone shows a marked local progestational effect. Medrogestone maintains pregnancy in ovariectomized rats. Medrogestone inhibits ovulation. Medrogestone prevents pregnancy. Medrogestone produces a significant reduction in the severity of benign prostatic hypertrophy[1][2].
