Tyropanoate (sodium)
Tyropanoate (NSC 107434) sodium is an orally active contrast agent for the gallbladder. Tyropanoate sodium is absorbed through the intestines and secreted by the liver into the bile. Tyropanoate sodium then concentrates in the gallbladder to form an image that is not transparent to X-rays, enabling visualization of the gallbladder[1].
