Tramadol N-oxide
Tramadol N-oxide (T-N-O) (RWJ 38705) is an analgesic. Tramadol N-oxide sproduces dose-related, long-lasting antinociception in the mouse abdominal irritant, 48 °C hot-plate, 55 °C hot-plate, and tail-flick tests. Tramadol N-oxide has negligible affinity for opioid mu (Ki = 38.5 μM) and delta or kappa receptors (Ki > 100 μM) . Tramadol N-oxide can be used for the study of analgesic effect[1].
