CHO-K1/SSTR2

CHO-K1/SSTR2 cells are derived from the Chinese hamster ovary CHO-K1 cell line by stably integration of a constitutive somatostatin receptor subtype 2 (SSTR2) expression construct. Somatostatin receptors are G protein-coupled receptors that bind to the hormone somatostatin. CHO-K1/SSTR2 cells stably stably express SSTR2, can be used for studying the physiological and pharmacological effects of somatostatin.
