It is produced from the thermal decomposition of Gibberellic acid (GA3) in aqueous solution. This compound is thermally unstable in water, leading to further conversion into allogibberic acid (approximately 80%) and 9-epiallogibberic acid (approximately 10%) . Gibberellenic acid holds significant research value in the study of gibberellin degradation pathways and structural analysis.
