HSV-60mer sodium is a 60 bp double-stranded oligonucleotide that includes viral DNA motifs from the herpes simplex virus 1 (HSV-1) genome. Transfection of HSV-60mer effectively induces IFN-β in a manner dependent on STING, TBK1, and IFN regulatory factor 3 (IRF3) .
