Fibrinogen γ-chain (117-133) is a selective inhibitor of intercellular adhesion molecule-1 (ICAM-1), with an IC50 of approximately 20-40 μg/mL. It can block fibrinogen-mediated adhesion of monocytes to endothelial cells and shows potential for research in thrombo-inflammatory diseases, such as atherosclerosis and organ transplant rejection.
