Pantinin-2

Pantinin-2, a cysteine-free toxic peptide from the emperor scorpion (paninus imperator), exhibits high activity against Gram-positive bacteria and relatively low activity against Gram-negative bacteria. In addition, Pantinin-2 also has some activity against Candida tropicalis and exhibits mild hemolytic activity against human erythrocytes. This compound has the potential to treat drug-resistant pathogens.
