S-Thanatin

S-Thanatin is an insect-derived antimicrobial peptide exhibiting strong, broad-spectrum antibacterial activity. It effectively inhibits Gram-negative and Gram-positive bacteria, as well as fungi, without causing cytotoxicity. Its antibacterial efficacy remains consistent across different pH levels, though the presence of monovalent cations (Na+/K+) can dose-dependently diminish its activity against Gram-negative bacteria [1].
