It exhibits cytotoxicity against non-small cell lung cancer cell lines, with IC50 values of 3.4, 2.1, and 1.9 μM for A549, NCI-H1975, and NCI-H1299, respectively. Cassamine possesses antitumor activity and can be applied in research on lung cancer and other tumors.
