Cyclamic acid sodium is a carbonic anhydrase inhibitor and one of the most widely used artificial sweeteners in food and pharmaceuticals.Cyclamic acid sodium shows moderate anticonvulsant activity in a maximal electroshock convulsive seizure model.Cyclamic acid sodium is used in cancer research.
