DBCO-PEG-Maleimide (MW 1000) (DBCO-PEG-Mal (MW 1000) ) is a PEG derivative composed of DBCO, PEG units, and maleimide. The maleimide component forms stable thioether bonds with thiol groups (-SH) . The DBCO group within this compound can undergo strain-promoted alkyne-azide cycloaddition (SPAAC) with molecules containing azide groups.
