The azide groups enable copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition reactions (CuAAC) with molecules containing alkyne groups. Additionally, it can undergo strain-promoted azide-alkyne cycloaddition reactions (SPAAC) with molecules that have DBCO or BCN groups.
