Thiol-PEG1-acid (SH-PEG1-COOH) is a PEG derivative composed of a thiol (-SH), one PEG unit, and a carboxyl (-COOH) group. The thiol group is highly reactive, capable of specifically interacting with various molecules to form stable covalent bonds. The carboxyl group can readily form stable amide bonds with amino groups or ester bonds with hydroxyl groups.
