FA-PEG-COOH (MW 5000) (Folate-PEG-COOH (MW 5000) ) is a PEG derivative modified with folic acid, containing a carboxyl group (-COOH) . This carboxyl group can readily form stable amide bonds with amino groups and ester bonds with hydroxyl groups. The folic acid (-FA) component has a high affinity for folate receptors, making it useful for targeted drug delivery to cell membrane receptors.
