DPNB-ABT594, a nitrobenzyl-caged ABT594, selectively activates nAChRs containing ?4?2 subunits over the ?7 subunit. It is utilized to map the distribution of nAChRs on medial habenula (MHb) neurons, thereby facilitating a deeper understanding of nAChR-mediated Ca2+ signaling in the MHb [1].
