Bioactivity
Anticancer agent 58 exhibits inhibitory activity against various cancer cell lines, particularly A549 and T24, with IC50 values of 0.6 μM and 0.7 μM, respectively. It promotes apoptosis through the activation of caspase 3/8/9, and elevates levels of Ca2+ and ROS within cancer cells. Additionally, it significantly reduces mitochondrial membrane potential and suppresses tumor growth in the T24 mouse xenograft model.
