L-threo-PPMP hydrochloride is an inhibitor of GlcT (UDP-Glc: Ceramide ?1,1glucosyltransferase) . It suppresses the biosynthesis of glycosphingolipids and induces apoptosis. L-threo-PPMP hydrochloride also exhibits anticancer properties.
