Alaptide is a spironolactone synthetic dipeptide and a melanocyte-stimulating hormone release inhibiting factor (MIF) analog, acting as a transdermal penetration enhancer. When loaded onto nanofiber membranes, Alaptide accelerates the healing of skin incisions, particularly burn wounds. It is applicable in the study of healing large, damaged wounds.
