KeIKK5 is an inhibitor of strigolactone (SL) biosynthesis. It significantly reduces the level of 4-deoxyorobol (4-DO) in rice by inhibiting the activity of the CYP711A enzyme. Additionally, KeIKK5 effectively suppresses the germination of root parasitic weeds and can be utilized in research on plant hormone regulation and the development of novel agricultural herbicides.
