Antibacterialagent 206 (Compound 10e) is an oxanthracene compound derived from indole acryl derivatives, exhibiting a broad antibacterial spectrum with a MIC of 0.25-1 ?g/mL. It reduces extracellular polysaccharides and disrupts biofilms, thus mitigating resistance. Its antibacterial effects are achieved by compromising membrane integrity, accumulating reactive oxygen species (ROS), and inhibiting DNA replication.
