Bioactivity
Glucocorticoid receptor/NF-?B modulator-1 (Compound 20) is a derivative of ocotillol. It prevents degradation of glucocorticoid receptor (GR) mRNA and GR protein and inhibits the activation of the NF-?B signaling pathway. Additionally, it reduces levels of nitric oxide (NO), interleukin (IL-6), and tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-?), and improves sepsis in mice.
