Antibacterialagent 175 (compound Y40) is an ML346 analogue and an inhibitor of sortase A (SrtA) . It demonstrates inhibitory activity against Staphylococcus aureus SrtA and shows inhibition of biofilm formation. Antibacterialagent 175 acts as an antitoxin against S. aureus infections.
