It contains an azide group, enabling it to undergo copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition reactions (CuAAC) with alkynyl-containing molecules. Thalidomide-O-C5-azide serves as a ligand and linker conjugate for E3 ubiquitin ligase, facilitating the synthesis of PROTACs.
