Bioactivity
AF 594 azide is an azide derivative of the red fluorescent dye AF 594, known for its high fluorescence quantum yield and excellent photostability, with a peak excitation wavelength of 594 nm and an emission maximum at 615 nm. The azide group in AF 594 azide can react with alkynyl derivatives (such as terminal alkynes and cyclooctynes) to form stable adducts. It contains an Azide group that facilitates copper-catalyzed azide-alkyne cycloaddition reactions (CuAAc) with molecules containing Alkyne groups. Additionally, it can undergo strain-promoted alkyne-azide cycloaddition (SPAAC) with molecules bearing DBCO or BCN groups.
